The group consists of six talented musicians from different parts of the world: Jean-Baptiste Craipeau (France), Simon Åkesson (Sweden), Danny Fong (Canada), Andrew Kesler (Canada), James Rose (England), and Evan Sanders (USA).

Afro Blue is a renowned vocal jazz ensemble from Howard University, founded by Connaitre Miller in 2002. Miller is an Associate Professor of Music and the Coordinator of Vocal Jazz Studies. This group has gained critical acclaim for their unique sound, blending styles similar to Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, The Manhattan Transfer, and Take 6.
